Questionaire

Journal Entry: Sat Feb 23, 2008, 11:10 PM
Found this questionnaire in the journal of Dan Shive, so I thought what the hell and decided to do it.

Name: Hudzon
Gender: I'll get back to you on that.
Eye color: Green? I think it's green.
Hair Color: Black. Thinking of dying it white, though.
Birthday: January 30th.
Age: Way too old.
Lefty/righty/ambidextrous: Ambidextrous.
Do you live in the moment?: I am enjoying every one of them.
Do you consider yourself tolerant to others?: Yes. I'm open minded to the point of accepting things that most people find to be atrocious.
Do you have any secrets?: Not from friends.
Do you have any bad habits?: I have a very addictive personality >_>
Do you think life has been good so far?: When I consider what tomorrow may bring, everything that has happened up to now becomes worth it.
What do you REALLY think of the person who took this before you? I love his webcomic.
Do you...?
Smoke: No.
Do drugs: Intelligence enhancers, when I can afford them. I prefer to study drugs rather than intake them;
Drink: Never. Bad things happen if I did.
Go to church: No.
Take walks in the rain: Love to.
Drive: Only in my dreams. I mean, literally.
Talk to people even if you hate them: I rarely get to know people well enough to start hating them. If I do, I stop talking to them and eventually forget why I hated them in the first place.
Want to get married: Marriage turned from a "union between two people" into a "contract between two people, their government and someone else's God"; I disapprove of that. My relatives would like me to go through an arranged marriage, though.
Want to go to college: I'd prefer private tutoring.
Have you ever...?
Been in love? I had my share of crushes, but I don't recall it ever going beyond that. Well, maybe just once.
Gone skinny dipping? Maybeh. ^^'
Had surgery? Hmm, nope.
Pulled an all nighter? Way too many. Fun fact: Sleep deprivation has an effect on me similar to what alcohol has on other people.
Gone one day without food? I fast once in a while.
Slept all day? 24 hours of sleep? I think 18 was as far as it went. Mmmmm.
Been rejected by a crush? Twice. No hard feelings, though.
Cried in public? Not that I recall.
Cried over a movie? Quite often.
What do you think? Many things.
Pranked called someone? Heh. Heh. Heh. Probably explains why I don't have any friends left xD
Passed out? Once, as a child. 'twas a weird experience. One minute you're climbing on a playground and the next you have old ladies asking you if you remember your name. Huh.
This or That
Pepsi or Coke: Green tea.
McDonalds or Burger King: Guh. Can't stand junk food.
Chocolate or Vanilla: Chocolate! ^__^
Burgers or Hot dogs: -_-;
Sun or Moon: If I'm taking a walk, definitely the moon. If I'm on a hill, then I'd love to view a sunset or a sunrise.
Hot or Cold: I prefer to keep the temperature mildly cool. These days I'm not as tolerant to extreme temperatures as I used to be.

  • Mood: Zeal
  • Listening to: Aria - Lost Paradise. I love that song.
  • Reading: Thesaurus
  • Watching: This Ugly yet Beautiful World
  • Playing: FF7.
  • Eating: Bacon and eggs.
  • Drinking: Boiled water and more tea.

Time

Journal Entry: Fri Feb 22, 2008, 6:29 AM
Ever since I moved in to this place a couple of months ago something has been bugging me, and today I finally found out what it was.

It appears that my room doesn't have any windows.
(Though in retrospect I do recall my landlord mentioning something of this sort before I moved in...);

Interesting. Normally I would ignore something like that (Which I have), but apparently it had a greater effect on my circadian rhythms than I assumed.

Y'know how you can usually tell the general time of the day just by glancing outside? Like "Oh hey, it's night, I should probably be sleeping" or "Hey, it's the afternoon, I should probably be at work right now". And even if your windows are sealed you can still hear subtle environmental cues like the chirping of birds?

Being completely isolated from that for a prolonged time completely throws off the natural body clock. It's hard to explain how that feels, but a good analogy would be imagining what it feels like for a watch to have a magnet attached to it.

If it wasn't for a clock conveniently placed at the right corner of my desktop, I would have absolutely no idea what time of the day it is right now.
I'm thinking of trying out a little experiment - turning off all of my clocks, and living "outside of time" for a few days.

Might be rather amusing.
